Tarik Hadžirović, who completed the first year of secondary school for physiotherapists, has been selected as the third participant in the Internet journalism training as part of the project “Internet as a tool for empowering the voices of people with disabilities” financed by the Internet Society Foundation.

The training was held from 21/08/2023 – 25/08/2023 in the candidate’s home in Sarajevo. On that occasion, Tarik was handed a laptop and accompanying equipment for training purposes and permanent use.

During the training, Tarik was introduced to the basics of journalism to encourage him to one day engage in the production of podcasts, the creation of his own YouTube channel, or some similar projects. Emphasis is placed on basic journalistic forms: news, interview, and reportage. Tarik has some prior knowledge in sound processing; therefore, the training was oriented towards deepening his knowledge of SoundForge sound processing software: basic editing, sound mixing, and recording finalization.

Tarik was assigned to independently prepare a block of current news in the field of information technology for homework, which he did perfectly. Tarik expressed his interest in dealing with the topic of mobile phones, new software, and other information technology news in the form of podcasts or YouTube channels in the future.

We are of the strong opinion that this training will be extremely useful to Tarik in the future. We are looking forward to hearing his first podcast, which we will post on our webpage, as part of the project.
