The training of the first candidate was held in Derventa, as part of the project “Internet as a tool for empowering the voices of people with disabilities”

Sunčica Spasojević from Derventa, an enthusiastic and highly motivated blind pupil who completed the second year of secondary school for physiotherapists, has been selected as the first participant of the Internet journalism training as part of the project “Internet as a tool for empowering the voices of people with disabilities” financed by the Internet Society Foundation.

The training was conducted during the period 03.07.2023. – 07.07.2023. and it was held in the premises of the Center for Children and Youth with Developmental Disabilities “Budućnost” in Derventa. In this regard, Sunčica was donated a laptop and accompanying equipment for training purposes and permanent use.

During the training, Sunčica is introduced with the basics of recording and saving voice, music and other audio content, preparing audio content – information, interviews, music-speech forms, platforms where audio stories can be placed, etc.

In the following period, with the help of the lecturer Željko Bajić, a blind experienced journalist, Sunčica will prepare a content with a topic of her choice through which she will tell her story based on the knowledge and skills acquired during the training.

We are looking forward to hear the story that Sunčica will tell us and thus contribute to raising awareness about the importance of information and communication technologies and the Internet in improving the quality of people with disabilities lives.
