Within the project “Strengthening the Internet without restrictions for blind people”, led by the Internet Society in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and funded by the Internet Society within the Beyond the Net Large Grants Program, training was organized for another blind candidate. It is about Ms. Tifa Tučić from Tuzla.
As part of the combined training of 50 hours, the Internet Society in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the period from 20.12.2021 until 24.12.2021. organized the first part of the training for Ms. Tifa. The training was held in the premises of the Association of Visually Impaired Citizens Tuzla. As part of the project, Ms. Tifa Tučić was given a laptop for training and permanent use.
Ms. Tifa Tučić is a blind person who has shown readiness to master and then show the appropriate level of computer skills and was chosen as the second candidate who will be trained as a trainer for independent work on the computer. In addition to mastering the principles of working with blind people on the computer, training for trainers also includes presenting the necessary pedagogical methods for training blind people, which has additional value in the case of Ms. Tifa Tučić, who is a professor of English language and literature.
This time, too, a training model tailored to the individual candidate was applied. Lecturer Hamdo Kentra successfully held the first part of the training, where Ms. Tifa Tučić through the training process showed great motivation and sufficient level of knowledge to be able to continue the process of planned training that will be held online.
We are proud to have the opportunity to contribute to outstanding candidates in their quest to acquire new knowledge and make full use of their own potential with the help of information and communication technologies.
